After the event, we receive requests for support and assistance in organizing similar projects in other cities. These requests come from partners, beneficiaries, and participants of the event. Over recent years, the number of requests has significantly increased.
After analyzing the situation, we realized that there are plenty of running events, but almost all of them have an unbreakable commercial focus. Fundraising, as a way of developing a sports project, addresses the charitable component only within the framework of creating loyalty to the event.
Thus, we decided to spread the virus of charity among other cities in Ukraine and create new traditions. In 2019, in addition to the traditional runs within «Chestnut Run», we held new ones — «Blind Run» and «Run with a Dog». The beneficiary of the «Blind Run» was the V.P. Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in Odesa. The representatives of the Institute sought help in opening the Center for Preventing Childhood Blindness. The beneficiary of the «Run with a Dog» was an animal shelter in Hostomel.
Every year, we plan to involve new cities and new beneficiaries in this initiative.
